(No exams, appointment requests and inquires only.)

You must present your appointment letter, your passport and a visa-style photograph of each applicant to the examining physician, radiologist and laboratory technician for identification purposes.

The procedure consists of a physical examination (all applicants), chest x-ray (applicants 15 or older), HIV blood test (applicants 15 or older) and vaccines (if necessary).  Do not bring the x-ray to your visa interview. Keep it as part of your permanent medical file. If you immigrate, pack the x-ray in your luggage.

The medical examination fees (in Guyanese dollars) should not exceed the schedule outlined below. Note that this schedule does not include the cost of necessary vaccinations, which are subject to local pricing and availability:

Applicants age 14 and under - G$5,000.00.
Applicants ages 15 to 65 - G$15,000.00.
Applicants age 66 and over - G$11,500.00.

Please be prepared to pay the physician’s fee in cash.  If the doctor refers you for further tests or consultations, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
