American Citizen Registration
It is important for Americans residing or traveling in Guyana to register with the Embassy. Registration information is protected by the Privacy Act and is not shared with anyone unless the registrant authorizes a release. Registration enables the Embassy to assist Americans who lose their passports to obtain a replacement, and to provide essential information during emergencies such as evacuations. Registration may be done in person at the Embassy any workday between 7:30am and 10:00am or on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. REGISTRATION AND THE PRIVACY ACT
In accordance with the privacy act passed by the U.S. Congress in 1974, the Embassy cannot release any information about you or your family without your written consent.
