All immigrant visa applicants must pass a medical examination before visas can be issued to them. The examination must be performed by a physician designated by the Embassy.

Please contact any of the physicians below to schedule an appointment:

You must present your appointment letter, your passport and a visa-style photograph of each applicant to the examining physician, radiologist and laboratory technician for identification purposes.

The procedure consists of a physical examination (all applicants), chest x-ray (applicants 15 or older), HIV blood test (applicants 15 or older) and vaccines (if necessary).  Do not bring the x-ray to your visa interview. Keep it as part of your permanent medical file. If you immigrate, pack the x-ray in your luggage.

The medical examination fees (in Guyanese dollars) should not exceed the schedule outlined below:

Applicants age 14 and under - G$5,000.00.
Applicants ages 15 to 65 - G$15,000.00.
Applicants age 66 and over - G$11,500.00.

Please be prepared to pay the physician’s fee in cash.  If the doctor refers you for further tests or consultations, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
