The Embassy will observe the following holiday schedule in 2008. The Mission will be closed for normal business on the following dates.

Per 2 FAM 115.2, the U.S. Embassy endeavors to restrict the number of local holidays observed to the number of U.S. holidays. Thus in 2008 local holidays occurring on weekends (Republic Day - Saturday, February 23 and Phagwah -Saturday, March 22) will not be designated Embassy holidays.
*Muslim holidays are determined by the Lunar calendar. Exact dates will be decided on and announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with the relevant religious authorities.
