Effective November 20, 2006, the Embassy of the United States of America announces new hours for the American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit. The section will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please check our website at http://georgetown.usembassy.gov/ for a list of Holiday closings.
American Citizen Services include registration of U.S. citizens, registration of births abroad, passport issuance, social security checks and notarial services. Visa appointments are not affected.
All U.S. citizens are encouraged to register with the Embassy either in person or online at: https://travelregistration.state.gov. Registration allows the Embassy to offer information or assistance in the event of an emergency.
American citizens requiring other services should feel free to visit or call ACS at anytime during Embassy business hours, Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Emergency services for American citizens will remain available 24 hours a day. Please call the Embassy’s main number 225-4900 for assistance.
