U.S. military engineering and construction troops preparing to commence their civic action repairs and minor construction projects
USS Kearsarge provides Construction & Engineering Support
About 60 U.S. military engineering and construction personnel from the USS Kearsarge supported the humanitarian mission by performing civic action repairs and minor construction projects in Regions Three and Four. At these sites, highly professional teams of engineers and construction specialists conducted what their mission commander aptly described as ‘a labor of love.’ General construction works were carried out at the East Ruimveldt Community Center ground; the West Demerara Regional Hospital and the Houston Community High school/Convalescent home & South Ruimveldt Playground
